excel：超越，胜过
excel [iksel] 做动词主要有两个意思
一是：超越，胜过
所以当外国人跟你说“you excel me”
是指你胜过了他 / 她
例：
he always hopes that his son will excel him someday.
他总是希望他的儿子有天能胜过他。
