peteropsvikworkstogether with seven colleagues in his studio. although peter opsvik comes up with most of the basic concepts, the work of translating his raw idea into a finished, manufacturable productis ateameffort.
the studio has a strong focusonproductdesign as a mean for so*ing real-life problems. core competence is furniture design, interior design, ergonomics, environmental oriented solutions, engineering and communication. thestudioworks bothindependently and in close collaboration with major manufacturers, such as hag and stokke.
in early stages of the processes thestudionormallyworks independently with prototypes of technical solutions and visual expressions in the workshop. this stage lasts until the idea is ready to be presented for a potential licensee. iftheproductmakes it as far as a licensing agreement, the further development proceeds in close collaboration with the manufacturer's r&d department to adapt the product forcommercialdistribution.

håg capisco’s seat is madefromrecycledcar bumpers and waste household plastic packaging. plastic components are labelled to enable sorting for recycling. håg is registered as an environmentally conscious enterprise withintheeueco-management and audit scheme (emas). we also employ environmental management systems in accordance with ns-iso 14001.
design
håg capisco – ‘the saddle chair’–wasdesigned modelled on the horse rider’s dynamic seating position. the chair is perfectly suited to any table height. peter opsvik and his colleagues have collaborated with håg since 1974 andhavemadea major contribution to the philosophy on which håg builds its business.
