很多客户在定制会员卡时很多会要求在卡上打上凸码，但被告知不能添加凸码工艺，这是为什么呢？其实感应式的智能卡在定制过程中由于构造问题是不能添加凸码工艺的。
现在我们来分析一下，为何感应式ic卡不宜打凸码？原因之一就是感应式ic卡的线圈普遍都是方型的，而芯片连接的位置正好处于线圈的外部。
在芯片未封装之前，我们能清楚地看见芯片所在的位置；但在芯片封装之后，对于一张不是透明材质的pvc卡片，我们是无法看见内置的芯片到底处于这张卡片的某个位置的，在无法判断的情况下，如果在卡片的某个角落打上凸码，就很有可能让在中间的芯片出现问题。所以不建议这样做！
有人说，线圈的中间部位是空的，能不能在卡片的中间位置打上小凸码，能，但我们通常都不建议这样做。非要打的话，小凸码的位数需要控制在11-12位左右，位数包括“no.”、数字和空格 (如：no.8888 8888)。
也有人说，把感应式ic卡线圈做小一点，这样在卡片的任意一个角落上打凸码就不怕打到芯片了。但是小的线圈一般只适用于小尺寸的非标卡。对一张标准尺寸的卡片而言，把线圈改小了，如果频率不够的话，就会影响芯片的功能与卡片的正常使用。为了在卡片上打凸码，特意把线圈改小的这种做法，显然是不太明智的做法。
