含硼聚乙烯是将硼粉铅粉等添加到超高分子量聚乙烯uhmwpe中的，经过搅拌、捏合、塑化、热压而成的，通过高温融合之后，含硼聚乙烯成为一种防辐射屏蔽中子的材料，实际是因为硼具有吸收中子的作用，含硼聚乙烯的含硼量在10%，厚度为15cm时已经起到很好的防辐射效果。这个含量的具体参数表现为：
