22.when he graduates, james would like to
a.take a postgraduate course.
b.work in the media.
c.become a translator.
tutor:“do you have any plans for when you graduate?a lot of students go on to take a master’s degree.”
james:”i think the four years of undergraduate course will be enough for me.i’m interested in journalism, and i quite like the idea of moving to scandinavian and writing for magazines.i’d find that more creative than translating, which i suppose most graduates do.”
在听这段音频中,根据题干人称定位我们确定重点要听james的声音,所以当tutor提及master‘s degree的时候我们需要对a.take a postgraduate course打一个问号。 i think the four years of undergraduate course will be enough for me“通过这句话我们明白他并不想继续学习,所以排除a。 但是如果不认识journalism的同学还可以通过后面的“i’d find that more creative than translating-我觉得这比翻译更有创意”来排除c。在这个题中我们就可以过这个”b is more creative than c“的结构来排除c选项。
25 beth recommends that james’s paper should be
a.a historical overview of the genre.
b.an in-depth analysis of a single writer.
c.a study of the social background to the literature.
beth:“first i suggest you avoid taking one writer and going into a great deal of detail.that approach certainly has its place,”听到这我们可以通过avoid这个否定词,排除b.single writer。
but i think you first need to get understanding of the literature in the context of the society in which it was produced...i also think that’s more fruitful than placing it within the history of the genre”.
that’s more fruitful than...genre-比研究genre更有成果”,因此我们推理出比起a,老师更推荐选c。
的结构,而中间的词是表优点”creative/fruitful/time-saving/useful/straightforward/precise”等形容词时,我们就可以排除后提及的内容,而选择more..than之前提及的内容为答案。
30 what will lisa and greg do next?
a talk to a professor
b observe a science class
c look at the science timetable
听力原文:“right, what do we need to do next?we could have a look at the timetable for the science class..or perhaps we should just make an appointment to see one of the science professors.that’d be better.
在原文中先提及了b,后提及了a,而紧接着的that'd be better中that指代的是professor.
