雅思考试（ielts），全称国际英语语言测试系统，外文名international english language testing system，由剑桥大学考试委员会外语考试部、英国文化协会及idp教育集团共同管理，是一种针英语能力，为打算到使用英语的国.家学习、工作或定居的人们设置的英语水平考试。

一、 定语从句经典系列
① (名词或代词) is the kind of (person/place/thing…) who (which/that) is…

② (名词或代词) is a (person/ place…) who (which) gives you the impression of being…
③ (名词或代词)is one of the most (形容词) (名词) i have ever seen/met/known.
④ (地点名称) is a place where you can do sth.
⑤ (时间名词) is a day (occasion/the time) when you do sth.
实例分析:
原句 套用句型后
he is truly helpful. a. he is the kind of guy who is truly helpful.
b. he always gives others the impression of being someone who is truly helpful.
suzhou is ancient but also modern. a. suzhou is the kind of city which gives you the impression of being both ancient and modern.
b. suzhou is a place where you can appreciate both the ancient culture and modern city lifestyle.
the film is interesting. a. this is one of the most interesting films i have ever seen.
b. this is the kind of movie which blows your mind.
the party is exciting. a. this is the most exciting party i have ever attended.
b. it’s a party that i will remember for the rest of my life.
on the weekend, i relax myself by reading. weekends are the time when i relax myself by reading.
说明：雅思口语话题频繁涉及人物，地点，物品，事件四大类，上表中的原句是在回 答此类问题时多数考生使用的句型。其缺.陷是过于简短，一不能体现语法优势，二不能凑字数争取时间。而套用句型后的表达效果就明显不一样了。可见，定语从句 的使用在口语中可以起到“包装”作用。
二、 名词性从句经典系列
① the reason why i (admire him/like the place…) is that +从句
② the most important thing is that+从句
③ another thing is that+从句
④ what i mean is that + 从句
⑤ what i’d like to say is that +从句
以上名词性从句①到③是引出个人观点或信息时的过渡句型，在口语表达中可以起到建构框架，使条理清晰层次分明的作 用。而④和⑤则是用于进一步解释说明。套用实例：
the reason why i admire yaoming is that he is a legend and also a great guy. the most important thing is that he is one of china’s most recognizable athletes. what i mean is, his image can be seen everywhere, he is a household name. another thing is that yao has also participated in many charity events during his career. what i’d like to say is that he not only donated money to relief work, but also created a foundation to help those in need.
三、 状语从句经典系列
① i first got to know him/it when + 从句(过去式)
② (名词或代词) have (动词过去分词) since +从句(过去式)
③ if i had the chance, i would like to…
④ if …, then it is quite possible that i will…
以上句型只需稍加变动，便可应用于多种话题。句型之间的有机组合还可成为集合，碰到没话说的时候十分顶用。
句型①套用实例：
i first got to know him when i was studying in primary school. (人物题通用)
i first read the story/saw the programme when i was visiting my grandparents three years ago. (物品题通用)
i first learned how to skate/play basketball when i was in high school. (兴趣爱好题通用)
句型②套用实例：
we have lost contact since he moved out of town.
i have stopped watching the programme since i entered the university where tv was not available.
i have been practicing basketball on a regular basis ever since i knew how to play it.
句型③是虚拟语气，表达一种设想。当问题为would you like to…时，建议使用该句型。另外，还可以在无话可说时用来应急。套用句型：
if i had the chance, i would like to travel to california and visit my best friend who i haven’t seen for ages.
if i had the chance, i would like to ask yaoming to autograph my basketball.
句型④是在分情况讨论问题时必备句型，也是丰富回答内容的经典招数。套用实例：
q: what do you usually do at weekends?
a: well, it’s hard to say. i mean, if i am with friends, then it’s quite possible that we will go window shopping or traveling around. but if i am alone, it’s more likely that i will just stay at home and do some washing and cleaning.
当然，以上两种情境还可以变换成多种可能，如按天气状况分为if it is good weather, 和if it is bad weather; 按时间多少分为if i’ve got a lot of time，和if i am fairly busy; 等等。

2. "i think environmantal protection is essential but not so important." (典型的逻辑混乱......essential就等于very important，环保是至关重要但是不是那么重要的......无语......)
3. "without electricity, the world would become so dark that a person could not even see a hand in front of his face." (缺了至关重要的时间状语at night!这么说的话古代人都是一直生活在伸手不见五指的黑暗中的吗)
4. "watching tv is convenient and people can avoid traffic jam" (这又是什么逻辑看电视和避免交通拥挤有什么关系)

8. "the rate of net-cheating has boomed by 1.27% in the past 2 years." (说这句话的人一定是雅思图表作文没学好。boom=increase rapidly，增长1.27%算rapid吗？应该用climb或edge up。)
9. "modern ways of life brings people some healthy diseases." (疾病还有“健康的疾病”貌似说这句话的人想表达的是"健康方面的疾病吧"那就直接用desease就可以了，因为所有的疾病都是“健康方面”的，要么还有哪方面的)
10. "my father is a photograph......" (我爸爸是一张照片这个强劲的......应该是photographer。)
11. "the data is very astonished!" (“数据非常吃惊”典型的没有学好现在分词和过去分词的区别，应该用astonishing-“让人惊讶的”。)
12. "at that time, i was studied at university." (“我那时候在大学里被研究”你是小白鼠吗应该是i was studying at university。)
13. "traveling can enlarge our eyesight." (旅行能够拓宽我们的视力应该是broaden our horizon吧。)
14. "today, more and more people are getting old." (不是more and more people在变老，是everybody!只要你是地球人都在getting old的......)
15. -"are you a student or are you working now"
-"oh, in my opinion, i am a student." (为什么要加in my opinion难道别人都不承认你是学生)
