种公野兔要品种纯正，雄性特征明显，生长发育良好，性欲旺盛，睾丸发育正常，精液品质优良，运动灵活。种母野兔母性好，泌乳旺盛，产仔多。在春前半个月左右应加强饲养管理，恢复膘情，要保持种野兔不过肥或过瘦，以利提高繁殖能力。对种公野兔要供给富含蛋白质的饲料，精饲料要在早、晚喂给，其余时间喂给青、粗饲料，供给洁净的饮水。种野兔要适当运动，增加光照，以增强体质，提高受胎率。种兔选择方法如下。
the male rabbits should have pure breeds, obvious male characteristics, good growth and development, strong sexual desire, normal testicular development, good semen quality, and flexible movement. the female hare has good motherhood, strong lactation, and many birth. in the first half month or so of spring, we should strengthen the feeding and management, restore the fatness, and keep the rabbits not too fat or too thin, so as to improve the reproductive capacity. to breed male hares, protein-rich feed should be provided, concentrate feed should be given in the morning and evening, the rest of the time to feed green and coarse feed, to provide clean drinking water. hare should exercise properly and increase light to enhance physical fitness and increase the conception rate. selection methods for breeding rabbits are as follows.
1 ．选择健康种兔
1. choose healthy rabbits.
( 1 ）健康种兔眼睛明亮有神，眼睑红润，眼角千净，无分泌物。体型适中，结构匀称，肌肉丰满，臀部发达。若眼无神，眼睑苍白、黄染、发绀、潮红，眼角有眼屎附着，均为病态。
(1) healthy rabbits have bright eyes, bright red eyelids, clean eyes and no secretions. moderate body shape, well-balanced structure, muscular fullness, and advanced buttocks. if there is no eye, pale eyelids, yellow staining, cyanosis and flushing, all eyes are covered with gall.
( 2 ）健康种兔口腔各部黏膜颜色正常、牙齿闭合良好，无畸齿，口角干净，无口液流出。耳朵直立，转动灵活，耳穴干净，无癣痂和污物。
(2) the oral mucosa of healthy breed rabbits was normal in color, the teeth were closed well, there were no abnormal teeth, the corners of the mouth were clean, and there was no effluent. ears erect, flexible, ear clean, no rash and dirt.
( 3 ）健康野兔鼻孔干净、呼吸正常。凡流鼻涕、呼吸困难、打喷嚏的都为患病兔。
(3) healthy rabbits have normal nostrils and normal breathing. those who have a runny nose, breathe hard and sneeze are all sick rabbits.
( 4 ）健康野兔肛门外部千净，无稀便沽污，沿直肠轻轻外挤，可排出1～2 粒正常粪球。若为稀便，可能患消化道病症；若无粪球，触摸腹部有坚硬的小球状物，为便秘。轻按阴部，辨别公母，阴部应清洁、无水肿、溃疡、结痂和脓性分泌物。
(4) the external anus of healthy rabbits is clean, no loose stool contamination, gently extruded along the rectum, and 1-2 normal stool balls can be discharged. if it is loose stool, may suffer from digestive tract disease; if there is no fecal ball, touch the abdomen with a hard ball, for constipation. according to the pudendum, distinguish the female from the pudendum. the pudendum should be clean, without edema, ulcer, scab and purulent secretion.

母兔要求母性好，毛色遗传稳定，母野兔下腹部乳头数应在8 只左右，低于8 只乳头不成对的不宜种用。

种公野兔要求发育良好，体格健壮，性欲旺盛，体膘适中。公野兔翠丸应均称、富有弹性，干净无水肿和溃疡。睾丸大小不一，单睾和陷睾的不宜种用。
male rabbits require good growth, strong physique, strong sexual desire and moderate body fat. the male rabbits can be equally elastic and clean without edema and ulcers. the size of the testis varies, and the single testicle and the truneus are unsuitable for use.
3 ．查看姿势
3. view position
若四肢不敢着地或轮换着地，可能患脚癣或皮炎；耳朵频频抖动，肢爪不断搔抓，可能患有耳癣；后肢爬行，可能腰折。
tinea pedis or dermatitis may occur if the limbs do not dare to land or rotate; frequent shaking of the ears and scratching of the claws may result in tinea auris; and crawling of the hind limbs may cause waist folds.
抓起种兔，在离地面30 厘米处放开，看着地是否平稳。脊柱应平直，无凸凹或凹陷。脊背肌肉丰满，脊梁骨不十分外露。后观背部呈弓形。若脊柱高耸，脊梁骨呈算盘球状，外观呈三角形，为瘦弱兔。若脊柱下陷，两侧高出，外表呈双脊，马鞍型，则过度肥胖，不可种用。
grab the rabbit and let go 30 centimeters above the ground to see if the ground is stable. the spine should be straight without convex or concave. the back is muscular and the spine is not very exposed. the rear view is arched. if the spine is high, the spine is spherical in shape and triangular in appearance. if the spine is sunken, both sides are high, and the appearance is double ridges and saddle type.
脚部被毛应浓密，皮肤完整。幼野兔脚爪应陷于脚毛之中，短而直，爪心红线长于尖部。

系谱清楚，资料完整、可靠，并编有清晰耳号。

5 ．选配

选配其目的是选择符合品种特征的公、母野兔进行交配，以获得优良后代，是选种工作的继续，也是繁殖工作重要一环。选配时应注意以下几点。
the purpose of selection and mating is to select male and female rabbits which meet the characteristics of breeds for mating in order to obtain good offspring. it is not only the continuation of breeding work, but also an important part of breeding work. attention should be paid to the following points when selecting and matching.
( 1 ）查明血缘关系，防止近亲交配，影响繁殖力。
(1) identify kinship, prevent inbreeding, and affect fertility.
( 2 ）选壮年野兔配种，最好是1 . 5～2 . 5 岁之间的壮年野兔。
(2) selecting the hare to breed in the prime of life, preferably the hare from 1.5 to 2.5 years old.
( 3 ）掌握好公、母兔的品质特点，充分发挥优势，克服劣势，优中选优。
(3) grasp the quality characteristics of the male and female rabbits, give full play to their advantages, overcome their disadvantages, and choose the best ones.
