castrol viscolebcastrolmolub-alloy 2115high temperature grease description castrol molub-alloytm 2115 grease is a thermally stable high temperature syntheticbearing lubricant. it is formulated froman advanced synthetic fluid and thickened with a temperature stablenon-soap base. molub-alloy 2115includes a blend of performance additives and molub-alloy lubricating solidsfor exceptional wear protection and is designed togreatly extend service life and relubrication intervals in hightemperature bearings. application primarily developed for extended service in oven conveyor bearings,molub-alloy 2115 is recommended for bearingsoperating in paint drying ovens, textile tentering frames, andsimilar applications where minimum reapplicationand drip-free performance is required. molub-alloy 2115 can be used in continuous service at 250°c/482°fand may be exposed to intermittent temperatures upto 280ºc/536ºf. forced draft ventilation should be used attemperatures exceeding 200ºc. molub-alloy 2115 can be applied manually or with automaticdispensing equipment. advantages · thermally and chemically stable – unparallel resistance tooxidation at high temperatures therefore extendingrelubrication intervals without undue risk of under lubrication,lubrication starvation, or an increase in powerdraw· virtually inert below 300ºc/575ºf – resists the thickeningand hardening that is typical of petroleum greases inhightemperature service· even at high temperatures, molub-alloy 2115 is resistant toorganic solvents and most chemicals, includingstrongacids, alkalis, and oxidising agents · low volatility – does not volatilise readily at hightemperatures and/or when exposed to high vacuum· formulated to address environmental concerns – it is freeof lead, chlorinated solvents, andbarium
