著名青年职业油画家、雕塑家。北京经济学院国际精曲书画学院客座教授，中国工艺美术师，上海工艺美术师，中国美术家协会、敦煌创作中心委员，中国雕塑委员会会员，上海工艺美术协会会员。
出生于中国瓷都德化，从小受艺术环境的熏陶，17岁便开始了自己的艺术创作生涯。个人作品现已被美国、日本、加拿大、新加坡、瑞士等艺术爱好者收藏。2005年在上海工艺美术博物馆成功举办首次个展（黄承林雕塑油画艺术作品展）。2006年3作品在柏林双年展展出。2006年7月在上海（shanghai studio）举办雕塑油画作品展。2006年10月在北京国贸国际展览中心展出。颇受中外人士好评。
靠着自己的努力拼搏和对雕塑、油画、陶瓷艺术的执着追求，不断创新、不断超越。创作的雕塑作品造型别致，极具浓郁的乡土风味；纸雕塑作品吸取现代设计理念，富有装饰美感；油画作品采用特殊绘画手法，形成了自己的艺术风格；陶瓷作品享有“白如雪、明如镜、薄如纸、声如磬”的美誉, 在强手如林的陶瓷业界颇具影响力
