抗金属吸波材料(铁氧体)主要在低频lf(125khz)及高频hf(13.56mhz)的金属环境中使用,当rfid标签或rfid读写器贴在金属表面时,由于受到金属干扰影响,造成实际读取距离会比预期距离要短很多,甚至会造成读卡失败,为防止金属干扰对读卡的影响,传统的设计方法是在rfid天线与金属之间加一个非金属衬垫使之距离增大,但是这种设计方法会使rfid标签或读写器变厚;新的设计方法是将抗金属吸波材料(铁氧体)贴在rfid天线后再贴在金属表面上,这样即增大读卡距离提高读卡灵敏度,又让rfid标签或读写器变得轻薄。
