The VMC has a vertical spindle that moves up and down, and a worktable that moves in two or three directions to allow the cutting tool to approach the workpiece from different angles. CNC vertical machining centers are used in production environments for high-precision milling, drilling, and tapping operations in one setup, reducing cycle time and increasing productivity.
