Failure in a pulley (binding, squealing or even a broken axle) results in an improperly operating window. In these cases, repair can be very time consuming and expensive, involving the removal of trim, sash, weather-stripping systems, disassembly of the weight and chain from the sash, installation of a proper high quality sash pulley, reassembly and re-painting. Pulleys are “deeply” built into the construction of and are critical to the smooth operation of a well performing double hung window. The wheel is CNC machined from solid brass stock. The pulley utilizes a chromed steel axle and sealed ball bearing.
