Horizontal FRP tanks, also known as horizontal FRP vessels or horizontal GRP tanks, are a kind of horizontally placed FRP tanks having cambers at both ends and saddles in the middle part.The wall thickness of horizontal FRP tanks is 30% - 40% higher than that of vertical FRP tanks. Filament cross winding is adopted for tank shell fabrication, thereby offering a higher shear strength. In places where saddle supports are placed, partially reinforced shall be provided in the radius direction.
